Static Line Progression
Normal progression
training for Freefall requires at least 5 static line jumps, in addition to 3
satisfactory practice ripcord pulls. This training will prepare you for your
first solo freefall. Once you are cleared for freefall status, you will go
through a progression of tasks designed to teach you safe freefall practices.
Once you have been
cleared for freefall status, you will be given more task to perform, designed
to progressively teach you safe practices you will need to master the art of
freefall. During this progression, you will climb to higher altitudes each
time, increasing you freefall time as you go.
By following this
progression, you will learn how to jump from a larger aircraft, how to be
your own jumpmaster, how to perform different types of maneuvers while falling,
and much more!

Accellerated Freefall
(AFF)
The
first three jump levels are Tandem where the student is attached to a Tandem
Instructor....they freefall and descend under canopy together. In
jump levels 4 - 8, the student and instructor each have their own
parachute. They exit the aircraft together for freefall and the
instructor shows the student correct procedures through hand signals. The
student then lands their own parachute with the assistance of ground to
air radio. This method of instruction offers one on one instruction from
your first freefall to graduation and you graduate from the student program
with only nine jump skill levels.

TANDEM
The tandem jump
program is one of the most recent major developments in sport parachuting. After years of
testing, parachute manufactures have developed modern gear which pairs the
student and instructor in a dual harness. This system allows you to share your
skydiving experience with a highly qualified, certified instructor. The instructor will
accompany you from takeoff to touchdown, as both of you fly suspended under a
parachute designed for two.
The tandem program provides the
safest and most controlled experience since you are paired with a jump instructor. This
system allows you to share your skydiving experience with a certified
instructor. The instructor will help you with each procedure required and
assist you in your freefall.

Static line and AFF
instruction covers all the necessary training you will need to make your first
solo jump. In most cases, with the exception of unsuitable weather, once ground
school is completed, you can participate in an actual jump that same day.
During ground school,
your instructor will teach you all the basic skills you will need to begin your
skydiving experience. Starting with how to wear your jumpsuit and ranging
through how to arch your body during freefall, you will be prepared to experience
your first jump. Your instructor will teach you how to exit the aircraft,
how to control & steer your parachute, what to do to recover safely in case
of an emergency, and how to complete a safe landing.
We suggest that you
wear clothing appropriate to the weather, along with a pair of high top shoes
or boots. (Please do not use boots with hook eyelets) We will furnish your
jumpsuit, helmet, and goggles.
